Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 August 2026

These Terms of Service apply when customers request or receive services arranged through SmartFix Malaysia.

SmartFix Malaysia is operated by SmartFix Home Services Enterprise, Registration No. 202603207704 (SA0656726-W). References to “SmartFix,” “SmartFix Malaysia,” “we,” “us” or “our” refer to SmartFix Home Services Enterprise.

By requesting or approving a service, you agree to these terms.

Services and Technician Assignment

SmartFix coordinates home-service enquiries, bookings, customer support and technician assignments.

Depending on the service and location, work may be carried out by SmartFix personnel or an assigned technician or service partner. The customer’s primary booking and support contact remains SmartFix unless otherwise stated.

Service Requests

Customers must provide accurate:

  • Contact information
  • Service-location details
  • Descriptions of the appliance, electrical or repair problem
  • Information about access restrictions or known safety risks

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee immediate technician availability. Appointment dates and arrival windows are confirmed separately and may be affected by traffic, weather, earlier jobs, parts availability or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Inspection and Pricing

The technician may need to inspect the appliance, installation or electrical issue before confirming the required work and final price.

Any known inspection, call-out or transportation charge will be communicated before dispatch where reasonably possible.

Initial quotations based on information supplied remotely may be estimates. Customers must review and approve the proposed work and price before repairs or installations begin.

If additional faults or requirements are discovered, the customer will be informed before additional chargeable work is performed.

Customer Approval

Approval may be provided verbally, in writing, through WhatsApp or by another reasonable method during the service process.

The customer or an authorised adult should be present to approve work and charges. SmartFix is not responsible for disagreements between a property owner, tenant, agent or other person who appeared authorised to request the service.

Access and Safety

Customers must provide safe, lawful and reasonable access to the property, appliance, electrical installation or affected area.

Customers should disclose known hazards, access restrictions, building-management requirements and relevant previous repairs.

SmartFix or the assigned technician may decline, suspend or stop work where:

  • Conditions are unsafe or unlawful
  • Required access is unavailable
  • The requested work falls outside the technician’s capabilities
  • The customer does not approve the required scope or price
  • Continuing the work could cause unreasonable risk or further damage

Parts and Repairs

Replacement parts are subject to availability and manufacturer or supplier lead times.

Prices and completion times may change if additional faults, concealed damage, incompatible parts or previous improper repairs are discovered during inspection.

Parts removed from an appliance or installation may be disposed of after the service unless the customer asks to retain them before work is completed.

Warranty

Any applicable workmanship or parts warranty will be stated on the quotation, invoice, receipt or service record.

Warranty coverage may exclude:

  • Faults unrelated to the original work
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Misuse, neglect or accidental damage
  • Pest, water, fire or environmental damage
  • Power surges or external electrical-supply problems
  • Manufacturer defects
  • Customer-supplied parts
  • Work altered or repaired by another party after our service
  • Failure to follow operating or maintenance instructions

A warranty claim may require inspection before corrective work is approved.

Cancellations and Unsuccessful Visits

Customers should notify SmartFix as early as possible when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.

A reasonable call-out, transportation or cancellation charge may apply when:

  • A technician has already travelled to the property
  • The technician cannot access the location at the confirmed time
  • The customer or an authorised representative is unavailable
  • Essential information provided during booking was materially inaccurate

Any applicable charge should be communicated where reasonably possible.

Payments

Prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit unless otherwise specified.

Payment terms and accepted payment methods will be communicated during the booking or service process. Payment is due according to the quotation, invoice or agreed service terms.

Customers should request and retain their invoice, receipt or service record as proof of the work performed.

Photographs and Service Records

SmartFix or the assigned technician may take photographs of the appliance, affected area, parts or completed work for assessment, documentation, warranty and quality-control purposes.

Photographs that identify the customer or property will not be used publicly for marketing without permission.

Customer Property

Customers should remove valuables and fragile objects from the work area before the technician arrives.

We will take reasonable care while performing services. Customers should promptly report any alleged damage and provide relevant photographs or evidence so the matter can be investigated.

Limitation of Responsibility

Service outcomes depend on the condition, age, accessibility and previous repair history of the appliance or installation.

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, SmartFix is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated when the service was requested.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, guarantees, remedies or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Malaysian law.

Complaints and Disputes

Customers should contact SmartFix promptly if they are dissatisfied with a service. We will review the booking details, service records and technician’s assessment and attempt to resolve the matter reasonably.

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled through the applicable Malaysian courts or dispute-resolution channels.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service when our services, processes or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.
